Every project is different, but in general the production process breaks down into three stages:

Pre-production:

This is when we work with you to learn all about your business and agree on what you need from the video. Some of the questions we might explore: Who is your target audience? Which platforms do you want to publish on? What key messages do you want to get across? From there, we'll create a video outline and/or a detailed script, confirm budgets and arrange any filming dates with you.

Production:

This is what most people picture when they talk about making videos. Our crew will capture all the footage needed, such as interviews, event coverage or product demos. We may film at your premises, in our studio or at another location relevant to the video's message.

Post-production:

Once we've captured all the footage, we start editing: shaping the shots into a coherent story and adding graphics, titles and music as needed. You'll have the chance to review one or more drafts and give feedback before everything is finalized.

Alongside the filming, we'll create any motion graphics the video needs. These can range from a simple animated logo to a series of sleek infographics. We always use graphics to complement the video's message rather than complicate it.

Not every project needs a voiceover, but when one does, we can give you a range of voiceover samples to choose from and take care of the rest.

When a background music track is needed, we can source a suitable one from a royalty-free music library and provide a license for its use in the final video.

Subtitles are an increasingly popular request, and we can offer two options. We can either burn subtitles directly into the video (so they always appear, however and whenever the video is watched), or provide a separate subtitle file that can be uploaded to YouTube and other platforms alongside the video. That lets viewers switch subtitles on and off, and lets you have several subtitle files in different languages for a single video. We've subtitled videos in more than a dozen languages.

We usually deliver final videos in the most widely used formats, typically .mp4 or .mov. That said, we're happy to convert them to pretty much any other format free of charge.

We generally keep backups of all footage and project files for at least four years. We're happy to revisit and update older projects, for example if you've rebranded or want to refresh the facts and figures about your business. If data sensitivity is a concern, we're happy to delete all copies of the media once the project is complete.

There's no guaranteed formula for making video content go viral, and we'd be wary of any organization that promises it.
